![]() The seemingly unlimited headroom of the MBP is cool, and it has many other comforts (active cooling, that gorgeous screen) but the cost savings speak for themselves, especially since the Air seems to go on sale much more frequently than the Pros do.Tips, tricks, and honest community help for the simplest of problems you may be having no matter if you're a newb or a master. it truly is insane that a laptop as thin and light as the new Air can just run absolute circles around even my gaming PC, which is what I used to use to produce mainly (Ryzen 5 3600X with 32GB RAM). obviously they will be more powerful, but the M2 Air has plenty of headroom already and I have never had ANY issues with it throttling while doing anything other than playing a video game for many hours. i personally think the M1 Pros are overkill, but some people like overkill. I can open fully mastered projects with three limiters running 32x oversampling each and it maybe hits 80%.so yeah plenty of normal usage headroom (i wouldn't have oversampling on usually).
